The NFFA-Trieste and T-Rex Facilities of Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste and IOM-CNR are proud to announce the first International Workshop on Time-Resolved Photoelectron Spectroscopy, entitled:

Time-resolved Photoelectron Spectroscopy from tabletop UV and HHG laser sources,
Synchrotrons and FELs: experiments and challenges

The workshop will take place from January 25th to January 27th, 2017, in Padriciano (Trieste) at the Area Science Park. This is the first international workshop devoted to the emerging field of time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy as a fundamental tool for the investigation of the dynamical evolution of the electronic band structure in solid state materials.

This workshop follows the successful experience of “Integrating table-top laser, seeded free-electron-laser and storage ring sources for time resolved spectroscopies” held in Trieste in December 2014. The focus of the workshop will be on the current results on “novel” topological and highly-correlated materials, and on the future directions and challenges of time resolved and spin resolved ARPES, including the science and the necessary instrumentation developments.

The workshop is open to scientists and engineers including all prospective users of the Facilities and students. International speakers will be asked to foster discussion and interactions with the PhD students, young researchers as well as scientists not yet actively involved in time resolved electron spectroscopy methods.
