Andrea Perucchi

I obtained my Master degree in Physics at University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2001, and the Ph.D. in Natural Science at ETH Zurich in 2005. In the same year I joined the Elettra synchrotron in Trieste (Italy), in charge of infrared and THz based activities in condensed matter at the SISSI beamline. I am now responsible for the new free-electron-laser based THz beamline TeraFERMI for pump-probe studies. My research interests span from Strongly Correlated Electron Systems to Low-Dimensional materials, Charge-Density-Wave, Superconductivity, Spin Liquids, Colossal and Giant Magnetoresistance, Oxide Heterostructures, Plasmonics. I am the author of over 100 publications on international journals (Scopus h-index:21) and 2 book chapters.

I was born in Rome the 21st of August 1975. I am married with Elisabetta and I have three kids: Giulio, Giovanni and Giacomo.
