1990

Major in Nuclear Physics at the University of Trieste, Italy: final grade 105/110. Thesis subject: "Digital Radiology, the Imaging Plate Physics". Comparative study of two types of substrates for Digital Radiology financed by Toshiba.

Working Experience

1979 - 1983

Employed P&C srl (UD) Danieli SpA group - mechanical designer of prototypes for steel and nuclear industry.

1983 - 1989

Self employed - A&M srl (UD) mechanical design and student of Physics at the University of Trieste.

1991 - 1993

Fellowship in Hard x-Ray Optics at Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste SCpA.

1994 - 1995

Researcher at the Protein Crystallography Beamline and Hard x-Ray Optics Group.

1996 - 2000

Researcher responsible of the Hard x-Ray Optics Group.

2001 - 2007

Researcher responsible of the Optics Group and member of the Industrial Liaison Office.

2010 - 2013

Responsible of the vacuum installations for the FERMI project.

2008 - present

Coordinator of the Mechanical, Vacuum and Optics Group.

Technical and scientific activities

Research in the fields of x-Ray Optics and Diffraction with presentations at conferences, workshops, schools of Optics, consultancies to industries and more than forty reviewed papers in peer review journals. Three patents and several projects financed. Design, assembling and commissioning of six beamlines at Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste SCpA. Design, assembling and commissioning of a novel patented hard x-Ray double crystal monochromator. Optical design of the bending magnet PEEM Beamline for SOLARIS in Poland. Optical and mechanical design, construction, assembling and commissioning of the undulator ARPES Beamline for SOLARIS in Poland.
