Hanan Sa'adeh

Research Fellow, GasPhase Beamline

Hanan Sa'adeh is an Associate Professor of Atomic and Molecular Physics (Accelerator-based) at the University of Jordan (UJ), Amman, Jordan, and is a principal researcher at the University of Jordan Van de Graaff Accelerator (JUVAC) facility.

She received all her degrees of physics (B.Sc. in 2002 and Ph.D. in 2010) from UJ with the highest distinction. In 2003, she received the Scientific Distinction Award in Science and the Scientific Distinction Award in Physics at UJ. She earned her Ph.D. in Experimental Atomic Physics (accelerator-based) in 2010. At that time, her PhD dissertation was nominated as the best dissertation in the scientific field at UJ.

Besides teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students at UJ since 2013, she has been the recipient of several research funding grants from various international bodies such as ICTP (Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics) and IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) to carry out research in Jordan and abroad.

Sa'adeh joined Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste for the first time in the summer of 2015. Since then she has been working at GasPhase beamline for couples of months each year during summer semesters (2015-2017) and for the whole academic year 2018/2019. Most recently, she has been awarded a two-year ICTP TRIL fellowship at Elettra started on September 1, 2021.
