Travel to the conference site:
Trieste can be reached by plane via Munich, Rome, Milan. The timetable of the flights to Trieste-Aeroporto FVG can be found at http://www.aeroporto.fvg.it. Other airports nearby are Venice “Marco Polo” airport or Ljubljana (Slovenia) which are served by few low cost air carriers. Thus another possibility is to fly to Venice or Ljubljana and then take a train to Trieste (from Venice) or Opicina (from Ljubljana).

From Trieste airport Elettra can be reached in a two-step trip. First take the bus 51 (LINEA EXTRAURBANA) to Trieste railway station  (about 40’) and then the city bus n. 39 or 51 to Elettra/Basovizza.
