International Workshop on Innovation and Research

Last March 15th, to develop ideas and proposals, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Administration has promoted a workshop that has been attended by representatives from Universities, research and industry of ​​the macro-regional area. In the spotlight were programs in the field of science, technology transfer and innovation that will be central to the Action Plan of the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-region, members of which are regions of the two shores of the Adriatic Sea. The workshop was attended by the Secretary General of the Adriatic Ionian Initiative, ambassador Fabio Pigliapoco and representatives of the CEI (Central European Initiative) and of the Ministry of University and Research.

 

The event has been organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region in collaboration with Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste, CEI, National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics, with the assistance of the University of Trieste, of the Trieste Area Science Park and the Regional Coordination of Research Agencies. The Adriatic-Ionian Macro-region enhances the relations between regions of Europe, thus giving an important contribution to cohesion in times of real difficulty for the European Union. By participating in the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-region, Friuli Venezia Giulia also strengthens the role of the national government in the relations the Region has with Eastern and Southern European countries.
