ESFRI Roadmap on Large Scale Research Infrastructures

On March 10th 2016, the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) hosted the one-day launch event of the 2016 Update of the ESFRI Roadmap on Large Scale Research Infrastructures.

The 2016 Roadmap consists of 21 ESFRI projects with a high degree of maturity - including six new ones - and 29 ESFRI Landmarks. These are RIs listed in previous ESFRI Roadmaps that have become pillars of scientific excellence and competitiveness in the European Research Area (ERA).

Among the ESFRI Projects and Landmarks, the following are linked to Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste by international agreements:

• Euro-BioImaging,
• ELI Extreme Light Infrastructure,
• European Spallation Source ERIC,
• European XFEL
• INSTRUCT.

In addition, FERMI is mentioned in the Physical Sciences & Engineering section of the Landscape Analysis.
