SAXS experimental station

Control room

All experiments are carried out from the Control Room. This includes the opening and closing of shutters and valves of the beamline, the tuning of the monochromator as well as the coordination of the experiment itself.

Experimental station

The experiment is situated in the lead shielded Experimental Hutch, which can only be accessed following the rules of the safety interlock system. Due to the highly variable sample area there are practically no limits for the set-up: for instance you may install a 200 kg magnet, combine your sample chamber with an infra red laser heating unit or use a high precision rotation stage for grazing incidence X-ray scattering.
