The advent of free-electron-lasers (FEL) represents a groundbreaking advancement for innovative time resolved and pump-probe magneto-optic spectroscopies disclosing new experimental strategies to study emerging magneto optical phenomena and the underlying physics. The beamline endstations allow to perform element specific EUV and soft x-ray resonant inelastic scattering (RIXS) and magnetic scattering experiments for uncovering the dynamics of the transient magnetization sensitivity to the angular momentum associated with the spins, the low-energy valence excitations, the phonons and the spin-excitations.
