EUCALL Young Researcher Travel Bursaries


The European Cluster of Advanced Laser Light Sources (EUCALL) provides Travel Bursaries for up to 20 young researchers to attend the conference. Selected candidates can receive up to 500 € to cover travel and accommodation costs. Please, note that candidate’s own institution is expected to cover the conference registration costs (150 €).

Eligible are all science graduate students or recent PhDs (doctorate granted after 1 January 2014).

The deadline for applications is 01.07.2016.

20 successful candidates will be selected by EUCALL’s Steering Committee and will be notified during June 2016. Please, note that one criterion for eligibility is that the application to the conference is approved.


EUCALL is a network between leading large-scale user facilities for free electron laser, synchrotron and optical laser radiation and their users. Under EUCALL, they work together on their common methodologies and research opportunities, and develop tools to sustain this interaction in the future. EUCALL has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and involves 11 partners from nine countries as well as the networks Laserlab Europe and FELs of Europe during the project period 2015 to 2018.
