Experimental Skills
My experience ranges from traditional surface and interface characterization spectroscopies (XPS, LEED, AES, TPD, UPS, EDX, PEEM) to conventional and synchrotron based spectroscopies and microscopies (XPS, SAM, SPEM). I routinely coordinate national and international projects on specific issues.
Current Research Tasks
- Investigation by photoemission spectromicroscopy of the catalytic-sensing properties of nano-materials by size, band-gap, and selective defects.
- Development of chemical and imaging multivariant techniques to investigate nano- materials under operating conditions.
- Development the photoemission spectromicroscopy methodology of studies of electrochemical processes in particular incorporating the effects of real electrochemical potentials on surface composition and reactivity.
- Design and application of the first near ambient pressure cell for laterally resolved X-ray photoemission spectroscopy experiments.
- Co-author of the first worldwide sub-micron resolution XPS characterization of samples at near ambient pressure.
- Define market solutions of an innovative anticounterfeiting technology.
