Photon Analysis Delivery REduction System - PADReS
PADReS will be located after the FERMI undulators and will include several different stages where instruments for characterizing and manipulating the photon beam will be installed.
In particular, it will be possible to:
- determine the angular divergence (double slits)
- track the relative beam position (BPM - Beam Position Monitors)
- measure the pulse absolute intensity shot-to-shot (I0M - I0 Monitors)
- reduce, if necessary, the intensity by a factor up to 10-4 (GC - Gas Cell)
- characterize the pulse spectral distribution shot-to-shot (ES - Energy Spectrometer)
Moreover, a sub-ps x-ray streak camera (SPSC) will be developed in order to measure, if possible, pulse lengths as well as delays between pulses, etc.
