ELETTRA Award in Memory of

Luciano Fonda and Paolo Maria Fasella.

 For outstanding experiments using Elettra synchrotron light, performed by young scientists.

On the occasion of its Eighth Users' Meeting, Sincrotrone Trieste - ELETTRA is pleased to announce a Prize reserved to young researchers who have obtained interesting and innovative results at Elettra.

The prize consists in a sum of Itl. 1,000,000 and a Certificate, which will be assigned by an 'ad hoc' Committee among the nominations received.

Nominations must be submitted by a third party means of a letter describing the work and its importance, together with any other document that may be considered relevant and useful.

In particular, the innovative aspect of the research performed by the candidate must be clearly stated.

The documentation must be submitted to the address below within September 30th, 2000. The age of the candidates must not be over 35 at the date of December 1st, 2000. 

The winner will be invited to receive the award and to give an oral presentation of his/her work at the Eighth Elettra Users' Meeting, that will take place at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, on December 4-5, 2000.
