TREES - Opportunities for Time-REsolved Experiments at new Synchrotron radiation facilities

Trieste, 4-5 December, 2018

The workshop TREES aimed at bringing together scientists to debate the perspectives and challenges for time resolved experiments within the upgrade of Elettra synchrotron.

The large participation to the workshop (more than 110 participants from 14 countries around the world) testified the interest in the event and its success.

TREES successfully identified science communities that would benefit from short synchrotron pulses with length down to the picosecond range. The implementation of time resolved instruments exploiting synchrotron radiation, together with FERMI and HHG sources already available to users, would put Elettra on a unique position worldwide.
