Colleague Claudio Allocchio awarded with the Medal of Honour by the Vietsch Foundation

Claudio Allocchio, Senior Technical Officer of the GARR network and expert of advanced applications and security areas has been awarded with the Medal of Honour by the Vietsch Foundation. The Medal of Honour is a prestigious international accolade awarded on an annual basis to individuals who have contributed to the development of services or technologies of long-term value to the benefit of the networking community and its users in the areas of research, development and education.

The awarding ceremony took place in Tallinn, Estonia, on June 17, 2019, during the opening plenary of TNC19,the most important event for networking experts on the European scale.

Claudio Allocchio has been unanimously voted by the selection committee “for his remarkable achievements accomplished throughout his career and the contribution to the development of the research and education networking community worldwide”.
