IPAC 2023 OC/SPC Meeting

Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste has organized the first meeting of the Scientific Program Committee (SPC) and the first meeting International Organizing Committee (Organising Committee – OC) of IPAC’23. The meetings were held in a hybrid format on November 30 and December 1 respectively. About 50% of the members of the committees were present in Venice, while the remaining members were connected from their sites around the world, from Australia to the United States.
IPAC'23 is the fourteenth edition of the International Particle Accelerator Conference and will be organized by INFN and Elettra in Venice from 7 to 12 May, 2023. The aim of IPAC is to bring together, every year, in rotation between Europe / Middle East / Africa ( EMEA), Asia / Pacific and Americas, more than 1000 experts, researchers and technologists, who study and design different types of particle accelerators for various applications, from studies on particle physics to synchrotron light sources and applications in the medical and industrial fields. The participation of industries is a fundamental characterizing aspect of the conference as well as the participation of young researchers and students.
The OC is chaired by Ralph Assmann (DESY and INFN), the SPC by Peter Mc Intosh (STFC) while the local organizing committee is co-chaired by Giovanni Bisoffi (INFN) and Alessandro Fabris (Elettra).
