The Minister of University and Research Bernini visits Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste

On June 9, during the visit of University and Research Minister Sen. Anna Maria Bernini to AREA Science Park, the international research center Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste was also visited.
A tight schedule included a morning meeting with representatives of regional institutions at AREA Science Park where the Research and Innovation system in Friuli Venezia Giulia was illustrated. Included in the visit were just a few of the scientific realities present on the two campuses, including Modefinance, LAGE Genomics and Epigenomics Laboratory, Alifax R&D laboratories, and the ICGEB International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology laboratory. Before proceeding to visit the N/R Laura Bassi of the OGS National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics, the delegation briefly visited Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste where they were welcomed by President and CEO Prof. Alfonso Franciosi, General Coordinator Michele Svandrlik, Chief Financial Officer Michele De Franceschi, and Marco Marazzi, Deputy General Coordinator. |
| After an overview of the infrastructure and future developments provided by the President, the group moved on to the TwinMic, Xpress, and XRD2 lines where they met with Alessandra Gianoncelli (Manager), Boby Joseph (Scientific Coordinator), and Annie Heroux (Line Coordinator), respectively, to learn more about the techniques, experiments, and international cooperations. |
