Low energy photoemission on a prototype Mott-Hubbard compound

Abstract
The metal-insulator transition in Cr-doped V2O3 has been studied
for decades as a textbook case of correlation induced phase
transition in condensed matter. Angle resolved photoemission
experiments performed at low photon energies on the BaD ElPh
beamline at Elettra provide new insight on this long standing
problem, supporting recent multiband theoretical predictions.
