Abstract
Gas-filled hollow-core fibers offer a versatile platform for generating and tailoring ultrashort ultraviolet light pulses, reaching the few-cycle regime within the 100-400 nm range. In this talk, we will compare the two main types of hollow-core fibers-capillary and anti-resonant designs-and discuss the primary nonlinear conversion mechanisms: soliton-driven dynamics and four-wave mixing. Additionally, we will briefly highlight the ongoing research of the LUPO group and outline our collaborative experimental campaign with the Dainalov laser group, aimed at achieving efficient ultraviolet pulses for FEL seeding.
