MAGNEDYN

Magnedyn beamline at FERMI is the beamline dedicated to time-resolved magnetism, and time resolved Resonant Inelastic X-Ray Scattering (RIXS). Details concerning x-ray photons range, focus and transport characteristics can be found in the official elettra web-page.

We describe below the detection apparatus at the beamline and the data acquisition system at FERMI.

RIXS spectrometer

A complete description of the EUV RIXS spectrometer and the report on the first experiments at FERMI FEL are freely available here (Scientific Reports volume 6, Article number: 38796 (2016)).

X-ray probe of magnetism

Find here (.doc) some details of MAGNEDYN beamline, fucussed on the detectors tests performed in november 2017 (Antonio Annese).

DAQ: Data Aquisition at FERMI

At FERMI each X-ray bunch is labelled and any performed measurement or parameter stored related to that bunch is saved. Small groups of bunches are than saved in a h5 format. Find here (.txt) the data structure of each h5 file, and some information of its characteristics.
