Conference Format

The conference will include oral presentations (invited and contributing talks) as well as poster presentations. There will be no parallel sessions.
A special session will be dedicated to selected student’s talks. The best talk will be awarded a certificate and a substantial contribution for the travel expenses of its student author will be assigned.

Oral Presentations

Time allocation for the invited lectures is 40 minutes + 5min discussion, while the time slot for a contributing talk is 20 minutes including discussions. Three types of presentations are possible:

  1. Powerpoint presentation.
  2. Transparencies.
  3. Slide projection.

For powerpoint presentations speakers are kindly requested to use the PC available in the lecture hall and to download their files in the conference computer on floppy disks, CD-ROMs and USB pens, the day before their presentations are scheduled. As backup, we suggest speakers to bring the transparencies of their talk. The use of a character sufficiently wide to be easily read at 20-25 m will be appreciated.

Poster Presentations

Panels of A0 format (119 cm high and 84 cm wide) will be allocated for the poster presentation. Each presenter will find the number of his/her poster on the web page of the Conference. There will be a poster session each day and posters will remain on display for one conference day.
