Operation group

The main mission of the Operation Group is to ensure, from the control room, the set-up and the supervision of the electron beam from the Booster up to the storage ring and this, in different operation modes according to Users’ needs.
The main activities of the shift crew are:

• Refills of electrons in the storage ring.
• Survey of all parameters of the beam characteristics.
• Acting as a source of information for the beamlines.
• Diagnosis of problems, and taking the necessary actions to resolve them.
• Documentation of all events during the shift in the e-logbook

These task will be ensured by eight hours shift, following the beamtime schedule.
The Group will be also implied in the results analysis and in the developments (software and equipment) enabling a better comprehension and operation of the installations.
