William Fawley

FawleyDr. Fawley  has made pioneering contributions to the field of Free Electron Lasers (FELs), particularly in the development of computational tools and in the advancement of FEL design. His career has been defined by groundbreaking achievements, which have significantly shaped the FEL community and have had a profound impact on major FEL facilities worldwide. Dr. Fawley's early contributions include the development of the GINGER code, one of the main computational tools for modeling the time-dependent performance of FELs, which has become a cornerstone in FEL simulations. Dr. Fawley's extensive involvement in the design, commissioning and operation of the FERMI FEL has been invaluable, and contributed to establishing FERMI as the global leader in seeded FEL technology.
