The workshop aims at providing a showcase for the recent applications of computational and simulation methods to be applied to some of the problems that are of current interest of the users communities of synchrotron facilities. There will be three sessions focused on processes occurring at metal and oxide surfaces, as well as at their interfaces, and on the spectroscopy of electronic excitations.
