UHV chamber

The end-station consists of a main cylindrical chamber of 500 mm in diameter and 774 mm in height, measured from the inner side area of the male base flange to the top female flange. The main chamber is equipped with an UHV load lock attachment in cross configuration. The UHV can operate at a pressure lower than 1*10-8 mbar.
The main and load lock UHV chambers were both constructed following a design made jointly by the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and the Technical University of Berlin (TUB).
