Crystal structure of the YefM2-YoeB complex of E. coli was already known and suggested that YefM is unstructured in the absence of YoeB. However, we have been able to crystallize YefM of M. tuberculosis in its apoform. The structure of apo-YefM antitoxin reveals that it is not an intrinsically unstructured protein, but forms a well defined3D-structure.
