The MagneDyn beamline is a cutting-edge research facility designed to investigate ultrafast magnetic phenomena in solid materials. It provides researchers with access to versatile femtosecond pulses generated by the FERMI free-electron laser (FEL), offering both circular and linear polarization. With its tunable photon energy in the 50-300 eV range, MagneDyn enables advanced time-resolved magnetic dichroic experiments at various elemental edges. The facility features two experimental end-stations catering to diverse research requirements. The first end-station is equipped with an in-situ electromagnet, cryostat, and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) Wollaston-like polarimeter. The second end-station, designed for externally supplied instruments, also houses a spectrometer for pump-probe resonant X-ray emission and inelastic spectroscopy experiments, achieving a sub-eV energy resolution.
