Info For Users

The T-ReX Laboratory is a users facility hosting table-top ultrafast laser sources which provide ultrashort (<100 fs) laser pulses that seed a variety of time-resolved spectroscopies. The laser sources available to users provide complementary photon beam parameters in terms of repetition rate, maximal energy per pulse, photon energy and possibility of wavelength tunability.

The spectroscopies available to users in 2019 include:

  • Time-and-Angle Resolved Photoelectron Spectroscopy (TR-ARPES), implemented in a state-of-the-art endstation, that can currently be operated by a 250 kHz regenerative amplifier providing 6.2 eV probe and 1.55 eV, 3.14 eV or tunable 0.8-1.1 eV pump options. A novel setup producing 10.8 eV photon pulses at 1 MHz for ARPES and TR-ARPES is now available to users. For this setup, agreement with the facility staff is mandatory;
  • Time-Resolved Optical Spectroscopy (TR-OS) with tunable (1200-2400 nm) or broadband probe (0.8-3 eV ie 500-1500 nm) and 1.55 eV, 3.14 eV or tunable OPA pump options. A setup for dichroic measurements in the range 450-950 nm is also available as an option. A cryostat (4-300 K) is available to both setups.

More details and updates about the characteristics of the laser sources and the performances of the endstations can be asked to the local contacts of the facility.

The Call for Users is now close!

We invite users and collaborators to discuss their proposals with the beamline local contacts well in advance of the submission deadline. This is crucial for a careful assessment of the experiment feasibility and may result in an improvement of the proposal.
