LuCam Capture

In brief

This software displays the image from the USB cameras Teledyne/Lumenera Lu205CB. One is installed on LEED (serial number 20100142) while the other one can be installed on the viewport of the electron analyzer, in order to assist with proper sample alignment (serial number 19030198). If both cameras are connected to USB at the same time the software asks which one you would like to use. Be careful that for LEED acquisition all LED lights must be switched off in order non to saturate the CMOS sensor, while for sample alignment sufficient illumination is necessary.

In the software you will mostly use the following controls:

• Connect/Disconnect the camera (it is not necessary to disconnect after use)
• Start Preview/Stop Preview
• right click on the previewed image to select zoom (25-800%)
• upper Capture and Save As... buttons to save an image if needed
• Exposure and Gain to adjust the visibility of the sample
