How to submit a proposal

Elettra deadlines
Deadline 18th March, 2024
for proposals eligible for the user period starting from July 1st to December 31st, 2024;

September 16th, 2024
for proposals eligible for the user period starting from January 1st to June 30th, 2025.

Small molecules and macromolecular crystallography proposals
Proposals can be submitted anytime, there is no deadline for the submission and evaluation is monthly.

FERMI deadlines:
Call for Proposals
FERMI foresees two calls for proposals each year, with indicative deadlines on May 31st and November 30th.
The Twentieth call for user experiments at the FERMI FEL1 and FEL-2 free-electron laser facilities, TeraFERMI, CITIUS and T-ReX laboratories, located at Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A. is now open, the deadline is June 3rd, 2026 23:59 CET.

Read the suggestions from the Proposal Review Panel on how to write a good proposal

If you are a new user register in the VUO.

If you are already registered, login to the Virtual Unified Office (VUO) using your favorite browser with JavaScript enabled. Please check and update your personal data. If you have lost either your ID or your password, click the lost password link present in the VUO main page.

Select the "Submit" button in "Your proposals" functions group.

Fill in the proposal form. Please type your proposal in English. Do not forget to complete the safety form.

In the case of a continuation proposal please give your previous proposal number.

When finished, submit the proposal selecting the "Check and definitely submit this proposal" link or choose "Save in editing status" to submit it later.

A signed copy of the Safety form must arrive to the Users' Office only after the proposal is scheduled and before the experiment starting date.

Repeat this procedure for each proposal you intend to submit.

INGREDIENTI
1 arancia biologica 3 uova 80 g di zucchero oppure dolcificante 100 ml di latte di avena 100 ml di olio di semi 150 g di farina di riso 70 g di amido di mais 1 bustina di lievito per dolci
Per la glassa: zucchero a velo (anche 0) succo d’arancia
PROCEDIMENTO
Fai bollire l’arancia in acqua per circa 10 minuti. Tagliala poi a fette: se è biologica puoi lasciare la buccia, altrimenti rimuovila.
Frulla l’arancia insieme a uova, zucchero (o dolcificante), latte di avena e olio fino ad ottenere un composto omogeneo.
Aggiungi poi tutte le farine e il lievito in una volta e mescola bene fino ad ottenere un impasto liscio.
Versa in uno stampo da plumcake imburrato e infarinato e cuoci in forno statico a 180 gradi per circa 45 minuti facendo sempre la prova stecchino.
Una volta freddo prepara la glassa con zucchero a velo e succo d’arancia e versala sopra
