12th School on Synchrotron Radiation: Fundamentals, Methods and Applications

 |
The 12th edition of the School on Synchrotron Radiation: Fundamentals Methods and Applications took place from September 16 to 27, 2013. After the past editions, held at Santa Margherita di Pula (Sardinia) and at the castle of Duino (Trieste), the choice of Grado, a seaside resort near Trieste, as the new venue was quite well received.
The School confirmed its reputation as an important international event for young graduates in Physics, both thanks to the presence of some of the most qualified experts in the field of synchrotron radiation and to the international body of students – over 40 in 2013 – from throughout Europe, Brazil, and Iran. Like in the past editions, the attendees spent a day of practical training at Elettra and had some data analysis sessions in the lecture hall.
This edition of the School was partially funded by COST (European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research), Action MP1103 - Nanostructured materials for solid state hydrogen storage).
