Cooperation agreement between Kilometro Rosso and Sincrotrone Trieste

An agreement to promote Industrial Research, Technological Innovation and the development of frontier technology of enterprises. It was signed last Thursday 19 January by Kilometro Rosso, the scientific and technological Park based in Lombardia and classified by Censis as one of the top ten innovation initiatives of excellence in Italy, and Sincrotrone Trieste, a major international research centre for materials science, situated in the Area Science Park.


At the press conference where the contents of the agreement were illustrated, the two entities were represented by Alberto Bombassei, Vice President of Confindustria and President of Kilometro Rosso, Mirano Sancin, General Manager and Managing Director of Kilometro Rosso, Carlo Rizzuto, President of Sincrotrone Trieste, and Marco Marazzi, Head of Industrial Relations of Sincrotrone Trieste.
 
By joining two excellent centres under real synergy, the agreement intends to exploit the results of the scientific research of the Elettra Laboratory for the development of new applications and technology as part of the regional and national industrial system concerning Kilometro Rosso's network, but also to spur and foster the demand for research and innovation of high-technology enterprises in various sectors and to start fruitful cooperation between these and the two centres.
