During two gala dinners, December 6 and December 11, Prof. Dietrich Menzel and Prof. Charles S. Fadley, awared of the title of Elettra Fellow 2011, received a memorial plaque.
The title of Elettra Fellow is attributed every year to internationally-renowned scientists and administrators by the Board of Directors of Elettra – Sincrotrone Trieste.
