ELETTRA FOR SCHOOLS
Friday morning, September 23rd, was devoted to elementary and junior high schools. Boys and girls were captivated by The Short Story of Mr Electron. A Storyteller in the Square, invented, illustrated and narrated by Elisabetta Travaglia. Eager to raise their hands, the kids were challenged with funny candy questions by the narrator.
The next morning, September 24th, was instead the turn of students from local high schools with Nanotechnologies for Medicine: Live Experiments, organized by Elettra’s NanoInnovation Lab. Many topics and several projects ranging from the use of biomolecules and vesicles capable of carrying biological material to damaged tissues, to the construction of three-dimensional polymeric scaffolds to grow artificial tissues for the prosthetic devices of tomorrow were discussed and presented interactively.
