On Friday 7 March, Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste welcomed a high-level academic delegation, composed of representatives of prestigious universities and research institutes:

The visit, organized and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Frank Uhlig, head of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry at TU Graz, offered guests an insight into the infrastructure and scientific potential of Elettra.

After the introduction by Prof. Alfonso Franciosi, President and CEO of Elettra, the group explored the beamlines of greatest interest, accompanied by Dr. Giorgio Paolucci, Chief Scientific Officer. The tour included: SAXS, with Heinz Amenitsch; SYRMEP, with Marko Prasek; SISSI, with Lisa Vaccari, in the presence of Silvano Lizzit and Luca Gregoratti, coordinators of the upgrade of the beamlines in the Elettra 2.0 project.
During the meetings, the strengthening of collaborations and new scientific synergies were discussed. The guests expressed great interest in the opportunities offered by Elettra, reiterating the importance of international cooperation in advanced research.
