Colonel Gianluca Migliozzi, new Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Trieste, visits Elettra

On Thursday 26 September 2024, Colonel Gianluca Migliozzi, new Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Trieste, visited Elettra, accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Nicola Guercia, Head of the Command Office and Captain Manuel Curreri. 

 

Welcomed by the president and CEO of Elettra, Alfonso Franciosi, the three officials began their tour with an introductory presentation on the importance and activities of Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste. Subsequently, under the guidance of Marco Marazzi, deputy general coordinator, Giorgio Paolucci, Chief Scientific Officer and Claudio Masciovecchio, Director of FERMI, the guests explored the SYRMEP beamline illustrated by Lorenzo D'Amico, beamline scientist, who highlighted its potential.

 

The visit concluded with a stop in the FERMI tunnel, where it has been possible to closely observe the structure of the free electron laser.
