Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste was pleased to host Gavriela Logothetou for one week as part of the NEPHEWS Early Stage Researchers Programme, which has just successfully concluded.

The Early Stage Researchers Programme, part of the broader NEPHEWS project and supported by Beamline for Schools and EU-funded projects, offers students and early-career researchers hands-on access to major European research infrastructures. Elettra is proud to be one of the participating facilities, welcoming talented individuals to explore advanced synchrotron techniques.

During her time at Elettra, Logothetou took part in the IAEA School’s theoretical sessions and tutorials, and also had the opportunity to perform measurements on her samples using both XRF and the SISSI-Bio beamline.

Her visit was both stimulating and productive. Logothetou left enthusiastic about the experience, having learned a great deal and established valuable connections. For us, it was a great success: we supported a passionate young scientist in deepening her knowledge and building relationships that will benefit her future career.
