In Brussels with APRE to Strengthen the European Research Network

APRE

Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste took part in the APREvisit to Brussels on 4 June 2025, an initiative aimed at fostering networking among the project offices of APRE members from Friuli Venezia Giulia. Alongside representatives from the University of Udine, the University of Trieste, AREA Science Park, ICGEB, and SISSA, the event offered a valuable opportunity for direct exchange with the APRE Brussels Office, for gaining insights into European priorities in research and innovation.

The programme included a visit to the European Parliament and a meeting with MEP Elena Donazzan, Vice-Chair of the ITRE Committee (Industry, Research and Energy), followed by a series of thematic sessions on key EU funding tools such as the EIC Open Pathfinder, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, and policies on cultural heritage and the creative industries.

The initiative helped consolidate collaboration between regional partners and European institutions, enhancing the visibility and impact of the FVG research ecosystem at EU level.
