On Friday 20 September, on the occasion of SHARPER - La Notte Europea dei Ricercatori (European Researchers' Night), Elettra welcomed a group of 50 enthusiastic visitors, offering them the opportunity to learn about Elettra and FERMI's laboratories. The visitors were guided by two researchers, who explained our reality, international collaborations and the cutting-edge research we carry out.
It was a pleasure to share how thousands of researchers from all over the world use synchrotron light to advance knowledge in various fields, from medicine to studies of new materials and the conservation of cultural heritage.
During the visit, the group was introduced to an overview of how the two light machines work and the technological innovation made possible by synchrotron light, providing a rare opportunity to see first-hand the place where the future of science is being built.
