Honorary degree in Materials Science to Enrico Albizzati

Tomorrow, February 3 2015, Enrico Albizzati, member of the Elettra’s Industrial Advisory Panel (IAP), and former CEO of Pirelli Labs S.p.A., shall be conferred an honorary degree in Materials Science by the University of Milano - Bicocca «for his remarkable contribution to fostering innovation in Italy in the field of polymers and plastic materials, as well as for his extraordinary insight in promoting the collaboration of public resources and private investors in research».
 
The ceremony will be attended by Cristina Messa, dean of the University of Milano - Bicocca, Marco Tronchetti Provera, President of Pirelli SpA, and Luigi Nicolais, president of the National Research Council.
“Innovating today”is the title of the lectio magistralis to be delivered by Enrico Albizzati, while the graduate’s laudatio shall be conveyed by Gianfranco Pacchioni, Materials Chemistry professor and representative of the dean for research matters at Milano-Bicocca.
