The award ceremony for the 2024 edition of the annual Fonda-Fasella Prize took place on December 3 at the Adriatico Guesthouse in Trieste, during the XXIX Elettra Users' Meeting "QUEST - QUantum matErials for Sustainable Technologies" and "NETLINCS - New Trends in Linear and Non-LInear Spectroscopic Studies of Natural Chirality".

The Fonda-Fasella Prize is awarded annually to a researcher who has achieved significant results through work carried out at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste.

In 2024, the prize was awarded to Matteo Pancaldi, a young researcher at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste. Immediately after receiving the award, he delivered the presentation titled "Advancing imaging and magnetization dynamics studies at FERMI DiProI beamline using OAM beams and THz pulses."
