Councillor Scoccimarro reiterates FVG Region's commitment to energy

"The thirtieth anniversary of the Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste light source, of which the Region is a partner, represents an exceptional milestone for a scientific establishment that few cities in the world can praise, which coincides today with the visit to the Basovizza laboratories of the directors of the Italian Environmental Protection Agencies, promoted by our Arpa Fvg, in view of tomorrow's discussion between the agencies' directors and experts on how to tackle climate change".
These are the words of the regional assessor for Environmental Protection, Energy and Sustainable Development Fabio Scoccimarro, who today took part in the visit to the Sincrotrone together with the delegation.
The councillor also addressed the issue of energy costs, recalling "the Region's constant commitment to policies aimed at ensuring the highest possible degree of energy independence, policies that take the form of substantial resources also made available to private individuals for the exploitation of renewables".
After the presentation given by President and CEO Prof. Alfonso Franciosi, the regional assessor and the group of ARPA national executives visited some Elettra and FERMI beamlines.
