Yesterday, 17 August 2022, the article 'Observation of Rabi dynamics with a short-wavelength free-electron laser' by Nandi, S., Olofsson, E., Bertolino, M. et al was published in Nature. A large group of FERMI colleagues also contributed to this important international collaboration.
Carlo Callegari, Michele Di Fraia, Oksana Plekan, Kevin Charles Prince, performed the experiment and collected the data. Michele Di Fraia, Oksana Plekan and Carlo Callegari managed the low-density-matter end-station. Laura Badano, Miltcho B. Danailov, Filippo Sottocorna and Luca Giannessi optimised the machine. Michele Manfredda and Marco Zangrando characterised the pulses.
Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste with FERMI is proud to have contributed with its light to the completion of the experiment and to have provided all the necessary raw data.
