On January 31, 2023 the Technical and Scientific Council, which advises on Area Science Park strategies and is in place for the four-year period 2022-2026, visited Elettra with President Prof. Petrillo and Board Member Prof. Alberto Aloisio.
The role of the Area Science Park CTS is to formulate proposals and express opinions on planning and strategic vision acts and on activities related to the European and international promotion of research and enterprise through technology transfer and management methodologies, the development of international technical-scientific cooperation, collaboration with public and private entities on research, technology transfer and support for technological and business organisational innovation for enterprises and production sectors, training for enterprise development and research and innovation management, and the promotion of networks of scientific and business excellence.

Welcomed by Prof. Franciosi, President and CEO of Elettra, the President of the CTS Prof. Roberta Ramponi, Dr. Paolo Branchini, Prof. Giovanni Comelli, Dr. Maddalena Furlan, and Eng. Massimiliano Spadaro were present at the visit after a day of workshops in Area Science Park. Also present at the meeting for Elettra were Marco Marazzi deputy general coordinator, Lisa Vaccari Group Coordinator IDEAS, and Maurizio Polentarutti beamline coordinator XRD1.
