Spring SAC Meeting on Elettra 2.0 and FERMI wraps up

The meeting of the Scientific Advisory Council (SAC), held in Trieste on April 28–29, has successfully concluded. The meeting provided SAC members with an updated overview of ongoing progress and future perspectives. The program included presentations on institutional developments, updates on beamline programs, and the status of the Elettra 2.0 project, along with contributions focused on FERMI activities and results. A particularly significant highlight was the visit to the construction sites and research infrastructures, which included a tour of the experimental areas with stops at several beamlines and measurement stations, including Spectromicroscopy, SYRMEP-LS, and APE, as well as visits to the assembly areas and laboratories. The visit gave Council members the opportunity to observe firsthand the progress of the works and to gain further insight into the future potential of Elettra 2.0. |
