Stand up for Science | Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste @ Bio2023

From June 5-8, 2023, a delegation from the Agenzia Lavoro & SviluppoImpresa, to which Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste belongs, participated in Boston in the 15th edition of the "BIO International Convention", an event of international significance in the biotechnology sector, organized by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO).

 

BIO brings together key leaders and players in the life sciences industry, with the aim of developing investment projects, raising financing and initiating commercial and productive collaborations, as well as delving into the issues of innovation, research and scientific and technological development.

 

The ITALIA space of about 180 square meters (booth: #2065) hosted among prestigious companies, universities and research centers, the national Life Sciences Cluster ALISEI-Advanced Life Sciences and the main regional and territorial clusters of the sector including the Life Sciences Cluster FVG.
 

The intense program also included, on June 7, an institutional visit by the President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Massimiliano Fedriga, who defined the Fair "an opportunity to increase the possibilities for international collaboration." 

 

Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste, as one of the excellence in scientific research in the region, used the opportunity to present its expertise and the advantages of collaboration with the facility to companies in the biotechnology sector, highlighting potential research projects and the innovative application of synchrotron light.

 

Elettra's highly successful participation has enabled fruitful dialogues with numerous pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies interested in using synchrotron light for their research and projects. This experience has greatly consolidated the prospects for collaboration between Elettra and potential industrial partners, further fostering innovation and development in the field.
