The electrical cabin of Building X has been completely overhauled due to the obsolescence of the original electrical panels, which dated back to the 1990s. As spare parts for these outdated systems are no longer available, continued extraordinary maintenance was no longer a viable option.

To improve the efficiency of energy transmission and consumption—particularly for next-generation light sources like Elettra 2.0—it was necessary to replace all seven medium-voltage and seven low-voltage panels. The cabin layout was also streamlined, reducing the total number of panels from 10 to 7, allowing for a more rational and efficient configuration.

A key upgrade in the new setup is the shift from low-voltage to medium-voltage power transmission to Elettra 2.0, which significantly reduces energy losses along the line.

The upgraded system features robust, state-of-the-art components designed for high reliability. It also includes advanced capabilities for real-time monitoring and acquisition of all key energy parameters, line by line, enabling improved oversight and more efficient energy management.
