The Vice President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Mr Mario Anzil visits Elettra

On Friday, January 24, 2025, the Vice President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Regional Minister for Culture and Sport, Mr Mario Anzil, visited the Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste research center. He was accompanied by Giovanni Govetto, Municipal Councilor of Udine, and Giacomo Manià from the Secretariat of the Regional Ministry for Culture and Sport.

Welcomed by Alfonso Franciosi, President and CEO, and Giovanni Comelli, Board Member of Elettra, Anzil attended a general presentation in the Elettra Experimental Hall.

Also participating in the visit were Michele De Franceschi – Chief Financial Officer, Giorgio Paolucci – Chief Scientific Officer, and Marco Marazzi – Deputy General Coordinator.

Afterwards, Mr Anzil explored some of the beamlines and tehir applications, with in-depth insights into Nanospectroscopy, presented by Andrea Locatelli, and the SISSI laboratory, led by Lisa Vaccari.

The visit highlighted Elettra's central role in international scientific research and in the cultural and technological development of the region.
