On Friday, March 28, the Ambassador of Brazil to Italy, Renato Mosca de Souza, visited Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste as part of a program of meetings with local industrial and scientific institutions.

He was welcomed by International Relations Officer Fabio Mazzolini, along with Brazilian researchers Frederico Alabarse and Adriana Valerio, who work respectively at the Xpress beamline at Elettra and the DiProI beamline at FERMI. Following a brief presentation on the research infrastructure and the capabilities of synchrotron and laser light sources, the Ambassador toured the Xpress beamline, listening with great interest to his fellow Brazilian researchers explanations of the ongoing experiments.
