Visit to Elettra for the IMPRESS kick-off meeting

A three-day event was dedicated to the launch of the IMPRESS project (Interoperable electron Microscopy Platform for advanced RESearch and Services), financed by Horizon Europe and led by CNR-IOM.
The launch event of the project involving the 19 partners from 11 different countries, who met in Trieste to review content and objectives, included a visit to Elettra.
IMPRESS aims to co-develop advanced instrumentation, innovative methods and new technological complements for transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and to revolutionise the way in which these microscopes are used, both by the scientific community and by new categories of users, who will be able to benefit considerably from the new technological developments in their specific fields of research.
